This one ran close to eighty minutes, which is the format I actually prefer. A four-minute segment forces the AI conversation into a soundbite, and the soundbite is always some version of “it will save you” or “it will replace you.” Neither is useful to somebody who has to run a business on Monday morning.

The Topic

We covered how fast the technology is moving and where it is genuinely landing across different industries, rather than where the headlines say it is landing.

The part I care about is the practical layer. What can you actually hand off today, what still needs a human holding the wheel, and how do you tell the difference before you find out the expensive way.

Humans + AI, Not Humans vs AI

A good chunk of the episode went to how VA Staffer actually operates: a team of 100-plus people running AI, not being replaced by it.

That is the whole thesis. AI is leverage for people who already know what they are doing. It is not a substitute for knowing what you are doing, and the businesses that confuse those two things are the ones that end up with a lot of content and no customers.

Why This One Matters

We also got into the road from Fortune 500 project manager to founding VA Staffer and Savage Marketer, and to building one of the world's first AI certification programs.

Long-format is the only place that story is worth telling. Compressed into a highlight reel it sounds like luck. With eighty minutes you can show the actual decisions, including the ones that looked reckless at the time.

Two Doors. Pick One.
