The Humans + AI Manifesto
The most profitable lie in tech right now is that AI means firing humans. I run a staffing company AND deploy AI Employees for a living. I live on both sides of this fight. Here's where I stand.
In November 2022, ChatGPT dropped and I watched my industry panic. I almost shut down VA Staffer, the virtual assistant company I'd spent nearly a decade building. Everyone said the same thing: AI is going to replace all of them.
Instead of choosing between my humans and the machines, I put them together. Every VA got trained on AI. Every repetitive task got an AI Employee. That one decision went on to drive over ten million dollars in sales and turned a “dying” staffing company into an AI-augmented operation. Business Insider covered the story in August 2022, when we'd already crossed $500K that year. We went on to cross seven figures.
The lesson wasn't that AI replaces people. It's that AI reveals which leaders actually believe in theirs.
What I Believe
AI won't take your job. A human using AI will.
The gap that matters isn't between humans and machines. It's between operators who adopted and operators who waited. Pick a side by acting, because waiting is also a choice.
The promise was doing less. The truth is we can do MORE.
AI didn't shrink the work week. It raised the ceiling. The winners aren't working less than before... they're shipping 10x with the same team and getting their evenings back while they do it.
Replacement is a choice. I choose multiplication.
Every task an AI Employee absorbs is capacity your humans get back for the work only humans can do: judgment, relationships, taste. Companies that fire first are optimizing for the wrong decade.
Every AI Employee needs a human commander.
AI executes. Humans decide. An agent without an operator is a liability with a keyboard. The AI Persona Method exists because deployment without command is chaos.
Your team is not a cost to cut. It's talent to upgrade.
